Parts of New Jersey under Martial Law

by Michael Smith (Veshengro)

NEW JERSEY, November 4, 2012: It has been confirmed by the Ocean County Sheriff Department, and others, that certain areas of New Jersey are under Martial Law following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Sandy.

There have been forcible relocation of citizens from the Barrier Islands, and some towns, including Jersey City, are imposing a curfew and arresting people for being still being out of doors as early as 7:00 PM. Some mayors are prohibiting businesses from being open past a certain time as well.

The fact that martial law was imposed on certain places in NJ was also confirmed on mainstream media on Saturday.

Its amazing how fast our “rights” disappear when the right crisis takes place.

To all intents and purposes it would appear that National Guard and Military Police units are involved in imposing “law and order” and the curfews.

The Posse Comitatus Act, however, makes in illegal for the military to usurp policing roles on US soil. Not that that, as it would appear, deters the governments from using those forces, unconstitutionally, in this case.

This is also not the first case that the military has been used in this way, and especially military police units, on US soil.

The land of the free and the home of the brave, it would appear, is fast becoming a police state with the military being used to aid and abet the law enfarcement agencies.
